Beauty and the Beast (1987) Plot Holes

In Season 1 Episode 1 of Beauty and the Beast, Catherine Chandler is kidnapped by 3 caucasian males who mistake her for another woman named Carol. The men brutally beat her and severely cut her face before dumping her unconcious body. She is found by the Beast Vincent who takes her to his lair beneath the subway and nurses her back to health.

What doesn't make sense: why didn't Vincent anonymously call 911? He claimed to Catherine that there was no time to get her to a hospital, yet he had time to carry her body beneath the surface below the subway system.

Also, why wasn't Catherine freaked out at the sight of a talking beast? She was only startled for like 5 seconds and then she was completely comfortable with this talking lion-like creature.

Plot Hole: When Vincent sensed that Catherine was in trouble and ran to save her, how did he get on top of a moving subway train? Furthermore, how did Vincent know Catherine was at Carol's apartment? Being empathic doesn't mean you can sense where someone is at. It means you share an emotional connection.

Catherine was severely cut all over her face including her forehead, cheek, and around her mouth with a knife, and had stitches all over her face... so why does she only have one easily hideable scar under her left ear? She should have long scars on her forehead, cheeks, and mouth. This makes absolutely no sense.

Beavis and Butt-head Plot Holes

Plot Hole: Beavis and Butt-head live alone and are in high school. How are they able to afford a house, electricity, food, land line, and cable tv? They both work minimal hours for minimum wage sporadically at Burger World which would clearly not be enough income to pay for all of these bills.

V.R. Troopers Plot Holes

In Season 1 Episode 1, Ryan and Kaitlyn are with J.B. as he is on his computer. Suddenly, the computer stops working. J.B. claims his computer is dead when all of a sudden a strange guy appears on the computer screen claiming to be Professor Horatio Hart. Professor Hart tells Ryan to come to his laboratory because he knows his father. In the next scene, suddenly Ryan, Kaitlyn, and J.B. are in some desert looking area and come upon a triangular structure which they feel must be a portal of some kind. A voice comes out of nowhere and tells them to enter the portal.

Plot Hole #1: Ryan, Kaitlyn, and J.B. find the laboratory without Professor Horatio Hart telling them where it is. They just suddenly were at the laboratory.

Plot Hole # 2: After the kids make it to the laboratory and put on the visors Ryan sees an image of his dad. J.B. says it's just a playback (a pre-recorded message), yet Ryan is able to talk to his dad and interact with his dad's virtual image by touching hands with his dad's virtual image. How could he talk to and interact with his dad's virtual image if it was just a playback as J.B. claimed?

What doesn't make sense: The kids just blindly listen to some guy that hacked into their computer simply because he says he knows one of their dads. Then they blindly enter the portal because some voice told them to. Then they put on some mysterious visors because some guy they just met 15 minutes ago says it's ok.

Supernatural Plot Holes

The Plot: In Season 7 Episode 20 "The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo", Sam and Dean become worried that since Bobby has died that he is turning into a vengeful spirit after Bobby attacks Dick Roman. Sam and Dean make the claim that over time that ghosts always turn into vengeful spirits. As the season concludes, at one point Bobby nearly chokes Sam to death. In the season finale, Bobby agrees to let Sam and Dean destroy the flask that his spirit was attached to thus sending him to the "other side".

Why it doesn't make sense: Sam and Dean are worried that they'll have to stop Bobby because he is turning into a vengeful spirit because they claim that ghosts ALWAYS turn into vengeful spirits, but I can cite at least two examples in the series where spirits had been dead for decades... even centuries and didn't turn vengeful. Humorously, just one episode prior in Season 7 Episode 19, Sam and Dean find themselves in an abandoned house full of ghosts. One of the ghosts was an 19th Century prostitute named Victoria who actually helped Sam and Dean in their quest to kill Van Ness. How was Bobby turning vengeful over the course of a few weeks of being dead, when Victoria had been dead over a century and wasn't vengeful? Also, in an early season there was a ghost of a woman who didn't know she had died and she'd been dead for like 20 years and wasn't vengeful. So, the Bobby "vengeful" ghost story arc really seemed forced because you can point to more than one example in the series where there were ghosts that never turned vengeful who were dead for decades or even centuries.

Plot hole: In season 8 episode 1, we find out that Dean has been trapped in purgatory for the last year. However, when Dean emerges back on Earth his hair is still perfectly styled, cut, and groomed. His hair is still gelled after a year, nor has his facial hair grown any longer.

Character Contradiction: In Season 8, Dean emerges from purgatory where he was for a year and is deeply angered to find that Sam had stopped hunting, found love, and was living a normal life. However, the fact that Dean was mad at Sam because he gave up hunting makes Dean a total hypocrite. After all, Dean did the exact same thing in Season 6 when he stopped hunting to lead a normal life with Lisa and Ben after Sam was sacrificed to stop the apocalypse. Why was it ok for Dean to lead a normal life, but not Sam?

Interesting Note: Am I the only one who noticed that former Detroit Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz looks like an old version of Dean Winchester?

The Big Bang Theory Plot Holes

Plot Hole: In Season 3 Episode 17 "The Precious Fragmentation", the guys fight over the One Ring from Lord of the Rings. The guys decide that the last one holding the ring gets to keep the ring. In order to try to get Sheldon to let go of the ring, Raj and Howard attempt to insult Sheldon's mother Mary Cooper. Sheldon is not bothered by it as he describes Mary as being a "kind, loving, religiously fanatical, right-wing Texan, with a slightly out of scale head and a mild Dr Pepper addiction".

However, in Season 3 Episode 1 "The Electric Can Opener Fluctuation", when Sheldon ran away back to his mom's house in Texas, Mrs. Cooper is seen drinking a can of Pepsi.

Plot Hole: In Season 2 Episode 19 "The Dead Hooker Juxtaposition", Alicia moves into the apartment upstairs above Leonard and Sheldon's apartment. However, after this episode Alicia is never seen or heard from again. Whatever happened to Alicia?

Character Double Standard: In Season 5 episode 7 "The Good Guy Fluctuation", Leonard is considering cheating on Priya with comic book enthusiast Alice. He tells Penny looking for advice and Penny criticizes Leonard saying "Your not one of those guys are you"? Its funny that Penny would criticize Leonard for considering cheating when later on in Season 7 Episode 9 "The Thanksgiving Decoupling" it was discovered that she was dating Leonard while being married to Zack. In the Season 4 finale she also tried to have sex with Raj and has been seen naked by Sheldon.

What doesn't make sense... throughout the course of the series it is constantly stated that the guys have never had girlfriends, and if they do they're not attractive girls. However, every one of the guys have pulled super hot women at different points of the show. How am I supposed to believe that these guys are nerds who can't get girls when all they have gotten are hot girls. Look at Leonard's track record with women. He's gotten Penny, Priya, Dr. Plimpton, and Alice.... yet we're supposed to believe he can't get a girl. The women that the guys have dated over the course of the show completely contradict their alleged "inability" to get any girls let alone hot ones. It doesn't make sense.

What doesn't make sense.... If you notice during the series that despite the fact that they live in an apartment complex, they never actually pass any other apartment neighbors walking up or down the stairs.
